Website Quotes Ticker

Website Quotes Ticker is a JavaScript/PHP based scrolling ticker presenting dynamically updating stock market quotes in an eye-catching visual delivery system, using minimal web page load.

The ticker is JavaScript based on client-side with design being configured from a CSS file for different parts of the elements: symbols, quotes, background etc.

The data is grabbed from a CSV file or URL location via PHP on server side, so the JavaScript content is generated at server side from the data using HTTP connection from PHP. The data is not updated after the pages loads anymore. Also, the data is not cached, for each page view, new data is provided generated PHP.

The sample in this page runs using random data. In order to use this ticker on your website, you need to have your own quote data feed.

REQUIREMENTS

• on server side: PHP with either allw_url_fopen PHP config setting enabled or CURL library available
• on server side: integration with a stock quote data source
• on client side: JavaScript and CSS

QUOTE DATA SOURCE

The script requires quote data source. The current demo in the site and the full version we provide runs on random data. The script contains a function that pushes data into an array from the data source of the client.
